Pre-Requisites:

  • 10 years of age or older

  • Tread water for 10 minutes

  • In good health

The PADI® Open Water Diver course is a 3 day course and is your gateway to the world of scuba diving, offering the first level of scuba certification. Guided by a highly-trained PADI Instructor, you’ll learn to dive in a relaxed and supportive environment. By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive confidently at home or abroad, becoming an ambassador for the underwater world.

Step 1 - PADI eLearning


PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule.

Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it's convenient for you.

It's your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device.

Step 2 - Confined Water Dives

Practice using scuba gear in a pool (or pool-like environment) until you're comfortable.

PADI training includes practice "mini dives" to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.

You will learn skills like: how to assemble your gear, recover your regulator, swim without a mask, practicing buoyancy, sharing air and emergency procedures among many other skills. Being an underwater scuba diver is an amazing experience but your skills under the water help make that experience amazing.

Step 3 - Open Water Dives

For this final step, we take you out to the ocean for 4 dives over 2 days. The purpose of these dives is below is to give you an opportunity to show the skills you learned in the pool and apply them in the ocean.

You will be evaluated by the instructor on the skills you learned in the confined water sessions. Once you complete the skills test and dive 4, you will receive your certification temporary card signed by your instructor. Your permanent card from PADI will arrive in 3 to 5 weeks.
